I’m a big fan of the GIMP. The GIMP is a freely available alternative to Photoshop, and available for windows as well as Linux. Lately, I’ve been using it mostly on my notebook to crop and touch up pictures, as well as doing odd things like this.
There are a ton of great resources for photographers using the GIMP for photos, I’m constantly recommending this one to people. While I was out at LugRadio, someone introduced me to Lomo. Well, at least Lomo effects with the GIMP.
I really like how this filter looks, it’s hard not to apply this to all of my pictures.
If you’re looking for a way to edit photos easily and freely, I can’t recommend the GIMP enough.
Don’t forget a great video podcast Meet the GIMP! http://www.meetthegimp.org. I’ve been using the GIMP for quite a while and quite a few of my photos have LOMO applied to them as well. Great stuff!
